Here are some ways you can help!

Donate to the American Red Cross

Volunteer for the American Red Cross

Donate to the Salvation Army

Donate blood to the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center to help aid trauma victims

http://www.texasdiaperbank.org/ The local Texas Diaper Bank is also putting together disaster relief kits for families with young children.

http://www.coastalbendcan.org/CBDRG The Mission of the Coastal Bend Long Term Recovery Group is to strengthen regional long term recovery by addressing unmet disaster related needs of individuals in the community in Federally declared disasters.

If you cannot donate at this time, sharing helps as well. Please stay safe out there, everyone

Regarding displaced pets and other animals - many shelters in your own area partner with other shelters in the Texas area. Check them out - it may be very easy to donate to one you are familiar with and then they just pass it on.

IMPORTANT!: Please also remember that many many employers match donations, and sometimes triple match in times like this. I know mine does, so it makes it even easier to increase your $$$ with no pain at all.

The Texas A&M Foundation's vet emergency team reached out to us. They are helping rescue and care for pets displaced by the storm. You can find their donation page here!

I'm a teacher,  and we are also putting together a drop off area for donations.  Once complete, we will send off to the Red Cross to ensure the items get to where they need to go.

I appreciate that, and I don't have a problem sending you my info,  but I don't want to be rewarded for this.  These people are in need...   That's why I'm  doing it :)   I also have some clothes to donate, and while I'm not really ready to go through my mom's things yet, I'll be donating some of hers as well.  I know she'd want to help.   I just celebrated one of my best birthdays, and have been spoiled with more than what I need.  These poor people don't even have a toothbrush anymore.  How can I not give back?

It's very generous of you to give to others. Your kindness is appreciated! If you're not comfortable with us sending you something, that's okay! Over on Twitter, we've been sending picks to everyone that donates, so I just didn't want you to be left out just because you were on the board and not on Twitter. It's our way of saying a small Thank You to the fans for their generosity.

If you are going to the Goo Goo Dolls shows in Houston or Dallas and plan to bring items to donate, here are some of the most needed items:

ready-to-eat vegetable and fruit items in cans with pull tops: protein in pouches or pull-top cans of tuna, beef stew, chili, canned chicken; peanut butter; snacks like granola bars and breakfast bars; toiletries; paper goods; diapers; and cleaning supplies - mops, mop buckets, brooms, bleach wipes, bleach, garbage bags, bug spray
