Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls Serenades Pez®

It has long been known that Robby Takac of Buffalo, NY, one of the founding members of the Goo Goo Dolls is an avid collector of Pez dispensers. At one point, Takac announced proudly he owned over 2,000 dispensers and he needed to build a separate house to hold them.

Now his love for Pez is taking on a new twist with a song that will be released on the Goo Goo Dolls upcoming EP. The song, Watashi Wa Pettsu O Aishi!!!!!! (I Love Pez), will be performed in Japanese at all shows during their upcoming tour.

“This just seemed like a natural progression in my career and once those creative juices start flowing you cannot stop them.” Takac stated. “This is truly a crowning moment in my career as a musician and song writer.”

Takac is also working on a video for the song. The treatment includes at least 50 backup dancers dressed as Pez collectables. The video is scheduled for release in July.
