Welcome to episode #87 of the Rock Interview Series. For this feature I have rock icon Robby Takac bassist/vocalist/songwriter of the multi-platinum selling band form Buffalo, NY - The Goo Goo Dolls. In this candid conversation, Robby talks about the recent release of “Live at the Academy, New York City, 1995”, a live album that captures the band’s raw and energetic performance that was recorded in December 1995, 2 months after the band’s first major single “Name” hit the charts. Robby also shares some of the band’s past history, such as talking about their early touring days. He also reveals some of the band’s future plans, such as working on new material and touring plans for 2024. Finally, he talks about his passion for Music is Art, and how the festival, which takes place in his hometown of Buffalo, NY the second Saturday of September, has grown over the years.
