Beloved '90s Band Announces New Song and Fans Are Ecstatic: 'OMG Yes'
The 1990s brought us some of the most memorable music, unforgettable bands, and songs we'll play on repeat for years to come. One of my favorite groups at the time (and to this day) was the Goo Goo Dolls, whose powerful lyrics touched the hearts of so many.
Between "Iris," "Name," "Slide," "Black Balloon," and "Let Love In," it's hard to pick a favorite out of their biggest hits. Although, I'm also a huge fan of one of their later tunes, "Come to Me," which was released in 2013. (Give it a listen if you haven't heard it. It gets me every time.)

The band is still going strong in 2025, and they just announced a brand new song coming out on July 11, which has people absolutely ecstatic.
As they shared on their official Instagram and TikTok accounts: "Excited to announce our new song “Nothing Lasts Forever” will be released July 11th - just in time for SUMMER ANTHEM TOUR !!!! Pre-save now at the link in our bio."
You can hear a sneak peek of the song in the TikTok post, and it has that classic, familiar Goo Goo Dolls sound.
Fans are so thrilled by the news, and one simply exclaimed, "OMG Yes."
Another added, "Love this new song! Can't wait to hear it entirely! 🔥"
Someone else noted, "Have yet to hear a bad Goo Goo Dolls song," and it's just so true. Every piece of music they put out stays true to their iconic vibe.
The band's Summer Anthem tour is about to get underway, and another beloved band, Dashboard Confessional, is along for the ride.
Their next show is Friday, July 11 in Rancho Mirage, California, but they have dates scheduled into September.
What an incredible chance to see two amazing acts at one show!
Fans also can't help but wonder if the new song means a new album is also in the works. Hmm. One can hope, right?
