Johnny Rzeznik (guitar/vocals) and Robby Takac (bass/vocals) are founding members of Goo Goo Dolls, the multi-platinum Buffalo trio. Goo Goo Dolls have had 19 Top 10 singles, been nominated for four Grammy Awards, and have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Their latest album is It’s Christmas All Over [Warner Records], a diverse collection of songs that features cover renditions of holiday classics and two brand new original tracks that capture the warmth and nostalgia of the Christmas season.
My Coda caught up with Johnny and Robby to talk about the pandemic, their philanthropic work (in New Jersey and Buffalo), and what’s next for the band in 2021.
