ALBUQUERQUE - Music performances at the New Mexico State Fair this year will include country singer Walker Hayes, country group The Band Perry and the rock band Goo Goo Dolls.
Officials with the fair announced the concert series lineup Friday with nine rodeo and concert events inside Tingley Coliseum. This includes the free-to-attend First Impression Rodeo on Sept. 9.
“We’re ready to open the doors to Tingley Coliseum once again and welcome music and rodeo fans back for a rodeo and concert experience they won’t find anywhere else,” said Dan Mourning, general manager, in a news release. “The Fair’s Rodeo/Concert series is a hallmark event of the Fair and we couldn’t be more excited to have folks back.”
The 2021lineup includes:
Friday, Sept. 10 – The Band Perry with PRCA Xtreme Bulls Rodeo
Saturday, Sept. 11 – Walker Hayes with PRCA Xtreme Bulls Rodeo
Sunday, Sept. 12 – Pepe Aguilar Presents Jaripeo Sin Fronteras
Wednesday, Sept. 15 – PRCA Rodeo
Thursday, Sept. 16 – Mark Chesnutt with PRCA Rodeo
Friday, Sept. 17 – Goo Goo Dolls with PRCA Rodeo
Saturday, Sept. 18 – Chris Janson with PRCA Rodeo
Sunday, Sept. 19 – PRCA Rodeo Matinee
Reithoffer Shows Carnival will also be bringing rides to the fair, according to the news release.
“Reithoffer Shows is an industry leader in safety, cleaning, and sanitation of their rides and has shared their COVID-safe protocols that will be used routinely throughout the Fair,” Mourning added
